There are many different types of apples in your grocery store, all of which add beautiful color, texture and variety to your party platters, cheese & fruit trays, even your dinner plate. When picking your apples from the store, be sure to select those free from bruises or wrinkles and have a firm feel.
A nice big bowl of apples look delightful sitting on your countertop when they are nice and fresh. To keep your apples looking this fresh, keep them out of the direct sunlight or in a perforated plastic bag. You can also store your apples in the refrigerator where they will stay fresh for about 7-10 days.

Press this mixture into the bottom of your pie pan, then fill your crust with sliced apples mixed with ground cinnamon and a small amount of lemon juice.
